Big Gosling Recycled Coat Parka | Joules

Recycled polyester runs right through the Big Gosling parka from Joules: the main fabric, the lining and the wadding are all made from it. The result is a warm navy coat for girls that handles school drop-offs, park visits and cold weekends from fall into winter.

Its hood detaches completely, and the faux-fur trim comes off separately, so there are three ways to wear it. Two zipped front pockets hold mittens and small treasures, a guard sits behind the full-length zipper, and an internal name label helps it find its way home from school. The longer parka length leaves room for a sweater underneath.

Gold-tone zip pulls on both front pockets and horizontal quilting across the navy body give this padded jacket a polished finish for girls.

The Joules collection puts this parka next to the label's dresses and knitwear. When she warms up, whatever she picks from kids' gloves and mittens can go into a gold-pulled zip pocket on the navy parka. For the deepest cold snaps, a thermal top from girls' base layers sits under the recycled-polyester parka. For milder days, girls' coats and jackets has lighter outerwear without the faux-fur hood.
